Michael Hunt was born in Chicago, Illinois, the youngest of three children. From an early age, he demonstrated a deep love for music, which would become a lifelong calling. He studied classical piano at the Chicago Conservatory of Music and later sang with two distinguished ensembles, The Master Singers and the Philharmonic Youth Choir, gaining early experience in both musical excellence and collaborative ministry.
After graduating from high school, Michael enlisted in the United States Army and served his country during the Vietnam War. Following his return home, he continued his education at Columbia College, where he studied music and theatre, further shaping his creative and communicative gifts.
Michael later attended Oakwood University, pursuing studies in both ministry and music. His passion for evangelism led him to serve with the Reach Out For Life Evangelistic Crusade alongside Dr. James C. Wray Jr., where he devoted himself to proclaiming the gospel and encouraging believers through music and the Word.
Michael’s life and calling are rooted in a single desire: to serve the cause of Jesus Christ for the rest of his life, using every gift God has entrusted to him for His glory and the building up of the Church.
